Put the new af100 trimmer line into the housing and adjust the direction of the spool and then take out a few inches of line thru the eyelet in the spool housing. Put on the new trimmer spool cover and spring on the housing. Metal spring is to hold the spool of the trimmer in the spool housing when it looses its tension its need to be replaced. 385022-03 Spool cover cap is used to hold the spool and line for the trimmer inside the spool housing when it breaks and needs to be replaced.
